30. Fetching Water

“Fetch(ing) water in the community places has become mainly a female role…there are a lot of situations where the pipe is not flowing and they don’t get to fetch the water. It brings a lot of violence in a relationship. Water, especially in developing countries, it’s a key thing…If men are also going to fetch water, then they will also be able to know the reality of what it takes, what the other partner goes through to fetch the water.”
